Hi guys, I just wanted to know how long it would take to get the admin server updated.
I'm planning to install new plugins on WordPress site, but I need to update the PHP version first.

Is the one that was stated in uptime?
Uptime: 34 days, 14hours, 3 minutes

This is separate from php update (like if you have 7.0 installed now it will not become 8.3), this you have to do in Custombuild.

To answer your question how long it will take, that depends on your server, it’s the same like cars, if you have a kia Picanto, traveling 300km takes a while, but if you have a Lamborghini urus, it takes not that long haha

Thank you, Ericosman. But when I checked, this php setting has a limit of 7.4 only I am thinking If I update this admin server, another php version will show up

You have 5 php versions in there. Directadmin does not support that, so it seems you are using Cloudlinux.
It's best to always mention that as that is not a default.

So you might need to update your Cloudlinux version too, or just Cloudlinux. I'm not sure, not using Cloudlinux.

I'm not not cloudlinux. But PHP Setting show up in directadmin panel, maybe you using php selector from directadmin, not cloudlinux.

Checking this page from your webpanel to see if there have any PHP enable from directadmin itself.
"/evo/admin/custombuild/edit-options"

Why is php 7.4 listed 2 times?

Updating DirectAdmin will not update php versions.

it's only have 4 version in their.
Correct, but in the screenshot of topicstarter I thought there were 5. So that is why I'm thought he was cloudlinux.
But now due to the reply of @floyd it seems 4 indeed. I think the first 7.4 is from the selection box and then he can choose from 4 versions, so probably that is why 7.4 is twice there.

In select php image, i think you are in domain setup (end user).
If you want install new php (ex php 8.x). You must go to custombuild with admin account. Custombuild -> option and select php in php1 -> php4. Then save and build update version.

* You must remove 1 version because directadmin have only 4 version

The screenshot is just the php ini file
Can be old versions which are not installed anymore.
