Hi,
looking at alternative control panels, one requirement we have is, to not put all eggs in one basket, ie: we want to keep customers mail separate from their web servers.
This is dead easy using dovecot/postfix/mysql-(maridb), since postfix and dovecot have hooks designed into to work together, but I see no way for directadmin (or cpanel or plesk or that matter) to do this, has anyone done this? or is it a TODO type feature?
that way we can have multiple front ends each using a replicated db from master, across several smtp, pop3 and imap/webmail servers providing HA with load balancing and redundancy.
this could be a feature request? also much simpler adding users to a db than messing with old slow flat text files with exim that prevents HA.
we also found postfix much faster than exim in our environment with our mail traffic, though YMMV.
