I'm living in Turkey and helping a friend with his restaurant website. My only advantage for doing this is I speak English and he doesn't- but I have no prior experience at all.
Long story short- I've managed to log into his website admin files (using the URL ".net2222", if that makes sense), and by some very careful cutting, pasting, and experimentation, managed to make the change he wanted (there was an inactive button called "press releases", which I activated and linked to a cut/paste/edit .html page with the newspaper article about his food, which is really good).
Everything seems to work when I "activate" the website from the admin files- ie. I open the main file, the button works, and I can see the press release.
When I open up the real website on the internet, however, there is no change.
I'm sure this there's a simple solution (or maybe not ?!) and any suggestions would be most appreciated! If you're ever on the Southern Coast of Turkey near Fethiye, I'm sure Fatih Bey would set you up with a culinary feast, fiyatsiz!
Thanks,
