AfterLogic WebMail Lite

Yes, but with roundcube.
Hopefully this will help clarify a bit:

Once you've installed Sieve, no matter how you've installed it, it should work with any IMAP client; the actual work is done in Dovecot.

Jeff

Jeff you're right but, you need also to add plugin to roundcube called "managesieve" for use it.

So, probably would be needed also on other webmail clients.

I suppose that's the reason why Zeiter specified the we did on roundcube.

The actual sorting is done by Dovecot when the email is received. So I have to ask you:

What specifically is it that managesieve do?

If all it does is allow you to set up rulesets, then you don't need it in a specific webmail program unless you're using that program to set up rulesets.

(In my case I do use RoundCube to set up my rulesets, and I have set it up in Roundcube.)

Or am I missing something else?

Jeff

Yes is just for set rules, have a way to implement rules without the ability to really create rules for customers would be no-sense i suppose.

BTW, without webmail, how customers should make their own rules?

Regards

That's really an imap issue, and honestly, I've never found an email client that does it as well as RoundCube does.

The only desktop email client I've used which allows you to set up your rules is Kmail, from the KDE desktop (available on both Linux and BSD). But it's much harder to use, and I don't like Kmail for other reasons.

I use RoundCube to set up rules. I use RoundCube when not able to use my desktop client, and I use Claws Mail (in Linux Mint) on my desktop, all as IMAP clients. Even when using Claws Mail (a simple client; it doesn't even show HTML email) I see my email in the folders they've been moved to by Sieve.

Jeff

I see :) So Zeiter was right, we did manage to be able to set rules for imap folders just on roundcube, never tryed with AfterLogic Webmail client :)
