Hi

A vps customer has run a chown with wrong parameters and set all files to root:root.

  1. Which command that I can change the owners and groups to the default of they should be.
  2. And finally, which command that I can change the owner & groups of all directamin owners & groups to what they should be.
Thaks & Best Regards

Try running /usr/local/directadmin/scripts/set_permissions.sh hopefully that should fix all your permission issues

It will fix a lot of stuff but not everything depending on what was changed.

If OS system files are chowned wrong you could look at a second server with the same setup for the correct permissions. Happened to me once. Now taking extra care. 😉
For DA maintained files, set_permissions.sh is indeed your best shot.
