I'm updating my blog almost daily. Old files are replaced with new files. But my Disk Space keeps growing. The blog is about 3 MB and everytime the Disk Space grows 3 MB. Where do the old files go? I think I'm deleting them. Can I reset the Disk Space? (Feels like a newbie thing but I couldn't find anything on the forum, then again I'm a newbie :) )

The tally includes disk space used by databases and emails besides files, such as pictures etc. You might want to check through your directory and see if the old files are really being deleted. If you can login to ssh you can use the "du" command which is very helpful in determining file and directory sizes.

Site Summary / Statistics / Logs page might give you a better ideas as to what is eating up your sapce, such as database , email etc.

You can't reset your diskspace very easily, but deleting everything in the public_html, private_html, and I believe backed up logs count. Logs would be in your /home/username/domains/domain_name/logs

Just some things to help get you started;)

Chang,

You can delete a new thread you created by mistake by going to that thread, clicking on "Edit", and then at the top of the page you'll find the delete instructions.

You might want to copy it first, so you can paste it into this thread.

Thanks Jmstacey, for your help.

I found out that my email was using 23,3 MB. Incoming mail is being forwarded but not deleted. I deleted all using squirrelmail. (inbox & trash)

But the disk is still full. Maybe it takes time to update? (I've waited 1 hour so far)
Site Summary / Statistics says email still uses 23,3 MB.

cheers, Chang

Diskspace usage is updated every 24 hours just after midnight server time.
