Allow only certain IP addresses to access DirectAdmin

Hi,

I have full root access to the server with the DA installation.

I want to make it so that only certain IP address can access the DA panel.

I know this can be done using .htaccess, though where would I create this file to make it so that no one can access the installation at <IP_ADDRESS>ORT

I wouldn't want to use a not-yet-fully-tested feature in productive environment.
How would I go about using firewall? Is there a way to use the in-built DA firewall?
