allowing clients to download files

hi i need to know where i put files for clients to download files at moment have in index files and visitor is asked to enter password i want it to download without that prompt

If you do not have admin access to DirectAdmin and/or root access to the server you should contact your hosting provider.

Files should be stored in /home/username/domains/exampledomain.com/public_html
Make sure that you have not password protected the directory through DirectAdmin. If you have, undo it...
