Almost Migrated Just Stuck At The Last Hurdle with DNS / Nameservers

I've just migrated a 5gig Cpanel file over to a new dedicated server running DirectAdmin as the web based front end.

Everything has migrated ok. I am amazed how slick the conversion program is. A lot nicer than my experiences with other vendors such as virtualmin.

I have tested the websites and they work fine while using the IP Address. I manipulated my local host file to test these.

My final issue is setting up DNS. On my previous host I obviously always pointed my domains to NS1.WEBHOSTNAME.COM and NS2.WEBHOSTNAME.COM

I would like to do the same for my dedicated server using the dedicated servers NS1 and NS2.HOSTNAME rather than setting up my own NS1 and NS2. Is this possible? And if it is how do I ensure my domain names IP is known by these servers.

Or do I have to setup an NS1 and NS2 specifically for my root domain name such as NS1.MYROOTDOMAINSADDRESS.COM . I have been reading I may need to setup a 2nd ip address but not keen as I want resilience.

Any suggestions of where I go from here. As I say the websites are working fine now if I use http:// IP ADDRESS but just need to get the DNS/Name Resolution working.

You can register dns servers to any host you wish. Do that at your domain registrar.
