Do you mean has anyone set up a public proxy? I don't know of any.

Do you mean does anyone know how to do it[/]? That's been discussed on these forums but has to be done by the server administrator.

There's a script for cpanel which lets it access through normal port 80.
Maybe he's looking one for DA.
 
The script at cPanelproxy is less sophisticated than one crafted a couple of years earlier. I may yet ask the guy to assist with a DA version but since he asked for contributions for the original script he may (fairly) want a fee for his time.

What Jeff was proposing works (see also help.directadmin.com) but as stated needs doing by an admin.
 
Why do you need a specific proxy script to access directadmin?

Just install phproxy or one of the other free proxy scripts somewhere on a web accessable directory and use that for any url that's not on port 80.

As I have read in quite a few Terms of Service agreements they usually frown on prox scripts. Even in mine for my VPS things like irc and proxy related progs are forbidden. Which is a shame because I have an IRC bot (a friendly one!!) that I have to pay seperate fees for every month because of this fact. And I would love to have proxy script running.
