Just made a WordpressMU install, with three sites on subdomains, and they run slower than a single WP install. That's only obvious, but I only have three sites under MU. Must be my MySQL server is a bit slow. Was also running a pagespeed test on my server, and the respond was so so. Then I looked around to see if I could find som optimization tips, and I found that thing really have progressed on the Nginx server front and PHP-FM.
Theres a mod which installes a LEMP (Nginx, MariaDB MySQL & PHP-FPM) web stack for CentOS 6.x Linux.

I'm really impressed with the stats on a simple 2GB VPS. DUH, so much for my standalone low-traffic server.

So curious to see how this blog stands up to a Blitz.io 6000 user stress test as well on this 2GB KVM based DigitalOcean KBM VPS + CentOS 7.0 using Centmin Mod LEMP web stack and PHP 7.0.0-dev (PHP NG).
Blitz.io load tested this WordPress blog’s index page with 6000 users over 60 seconds with California region. There were few minor TCP errors ~1333 or 0.95%.
WordPress Super Cache in action + Centmin Mod LEMP web stack = 200+ million hits/day or 6 billion hits per month with peak of 3,746 hits/second and an average of 2,316 hits/second. Average response time was 183ms with slowest being 715ms once it hit 6000 user mark.
The WordPress blog maintained a 14ms response time up to 2496 user mark and then response time spiked to 80ms at 2955 users, 94ms at 3246 users, 183ms at 3497 users, 201ms at 3996 users, 505ms at 4996 users."

Though I'm a little affraid to mess with my production server, I would like to see if someone have tested the mod on centos, with DA running? Is this the way to go? Is DA compatible with the stack? I mean, can those stats be true? Might just ditch the server and rent a small VPS and make a CDN on Amazon, and save a lot of money...and gain speed speed speed
