Apache 1.3 to 2.2

I have searched the knowledgebase and these forums and can't seem to find any concrete instructions on what I need to do to move from Apache 1.3 to 2.2 and keep all of my config files and whatnot just like they are. (IE, not screw up accounts)

I built and installed apache 1.3 using customapache. What steps do I need to take to upgrade 1.3 to 2.2 correctly?

Can anybody please verify the correct steps?

I tested on an older server and using ./build apache and ./build php on custombuild seemed to upgrade to 2.2 without too much of a problem, and the vhosts seem correct, but I want to make sure there's nothing else I need to keep in mind when doing this.

If the config files (http) are wrong, then you have to rewrite them:

I think that's the only problem I had upgrading.

You need to use custombuild if you want to upgrade to Apache 2.2
