I have a VPS which runs on DirectAdmin. If I create a domain through DirectAdmin it will assign the rights to the da user: da-admin

Both the user and the group will be da-admin But php can't create, edit or upload files. Which uses the apache user.

At the office we also run a VPS with DirectAdmin. I checked there everything works without problems. On that install apache created files always get the da-admin user and group. I did check the /etc/group No real diffrence there.

I didn't configure the work VPS so I don know if there are config diffrences and it isn't my cup of thea. Did I do something wrong when setting the system up?

Custombuild 2.x already supports mod_ruid2. So if you are using CB 2.x there is no need to modify anything but options.conf and install php/apache stack once more.
