Apache down but DA not aware?!

We have a problem. Would appear that Apache is running yet it isnt, its in kind of limbo state. DA thinks its working but it isnt. We had to restart apache then all is fine again.

Here is a section of the log.

This is not occur after a restart, it just seems to stop responding after a while, intermittently perhaps once a week or maybe longer.

We thought it might have been following a DA update without doing a restart but that has not been true of the last couple of occasions.
