Hi,

Is is possible to send email from apache (i.e. contactus.php) via another IP address, rather than using the standard smtp IP address.

I ask this because lately a number of customers have had their contactus.php scripts hacked and used for spam. This cuases us to be added to RBL blocklists and i'd prefer that just the apache email be blocked rather than legit email received via smtp (port 25).

Thanks
Barry

At least one of the commonly used blocklists will, if they find you sending mail from an adjacent IP after they block you, add your whole A-Class to their blocklist. Unless your upstream has given you the entire A-Class that's going to make them angry at you as well.

The only right thing to do when you get blocked, is get unblocked the right way. Boot the user if necessary, and bow down before the blocklist gods.

:)
