Hi,
Dont know if this is the correct sub-forum but here is my issue.
Apf firewall reports to me that I have hundreds and hundreds of connections
from apache + mysql at a certain time
and these are all from korea, UK, china
etc of different users trying to break into
my server.
Now everytime this happens, i would get
a load spike of about 3.4 for 9-15minutes
slowing my services down to a crawl.
I ban these IP's everytime apf reports
them to me and my sheet has around 50
banned IPs.
Is there anyway to prevent this? Like an auto ban script if a user connects to apache or mysql # of times? I dont want to banned the whole country but than again, i really wouldn't mind.I dont get any issues within the US of users doing fishy things(once in a blue moon).
