Hello All ,

Today we have a big problem with apache.

The process is over 450...Please help me,I think one of people attack the 1 website...Can I find this site? or how can I stop this ?

Thank you

Use configserver firewall with connection tracking on, This will ban all that connect too many times. I can install this and apache mod evasive as a service, contact me [email protected]

Its easy to install yourself if you dont want to pay to have it done, just follow the instructions

if you havent tried config server do so, you have the choice of permanently banning on connection flood, it even has features to parse mod security logs and ban, plus anti-spam , etc;

Try it out its like apf, dos deflate, bfd, and more stuff rolled up into one

You can try it, but it won't stop DDoS attacks. Like other software firewalls, that script was put to test and didn't help with either DoS, DDoS, or Syn attacks.

In addition, to software firewall, you need a good hardware-firewall to stop these malicious attacks. See if your Data Center provides a hardware firewall to protect your server and stop these attacks.

Hmmm... I tested on one of my servers and this tiny script indeed works - now that server is not under heavy load and I hope I do not have to reboot the server every morning :-)
