Hi,

I have something weird going on since a few days. My apache2 stops at 0:02 and doesn't want to stop/sart/restart via DA anymore. If I give the machine a reboot however, it works. After some time (about 4 a.m.) this happens again.

Rest of the day no issues.

I cannot find any weird stuff going on. No strange processes or something. Also the access and errorlogs of apache don't tell me a lot.

Does anybody have an idea what this could be?

Hello.
I am also, about 1-2 days is apache stop, don't restart by admin user, if root user is show starting but don't start. Only reboot server!

I'm using Centos 5.3 32 bit.

Apache is probably being stopped by a cronjob in cron_daily; This occurs to reset log files if necessary.

If it won't restart there could be a lot of reasons, some of which have been discussed in these forums. Have you searched these forums for others with similar problems?
