Hi,
I recente switched to a new Reseller Hosting service who uses Direct Admin.

I stumbled across a nasty problem which I can't get solved; getting my mail working on a MacbookPro. I use Apple mail (the latest version) and I get an a=error when trying to set up a mailaccount.
I use the following settings:
username: [email protected]
password: XXXXXXXX
hostname: mail.mywebsite.nl
ticked box: Automatically manage connection settings

Can anyone help me solve this?

untick the box and fil in:
outgoing and incoming mail server : mail.mywebsite.nl
Port for inbound 993 SSL and for outbound 465 SSL or 587 STARTLS

Hey Active8,
thanks for the suggestion. But unfortunately it didn't work. I am still searching for a solution.

You might need to contact your host then for support, as it most likely is not caused by Directadmin.

Is there any error notice you encounter? Because the settings from @Active8 should work on any DA server. Unless your host has decided that all mail should go via the hostname. Which is why contacting your host is best with email issues.
We can't see how he configures things.
