Applying new licence to "bare metal" install system

Hi all

I am installing a standard system (centos 5 plus DA) on a number of servers using a standard disk image which I have created. The standard install includes an operational/licenced DA system.

I am purchasing DA licences for each new server IP address and want to update each of the new installs to work with the correct licence. But I am getting "directadmin dead but pid file exists" messages -- and of course DA is not working.

Please can anyone tell me what steps I need to take to "update" each installation to work with the new licences.

Thanks.

Looks like I have solved this -- by just using the recommended getLicense.sh (http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=30). But having been reading the forums I am wondering if I am going to run into any problems downstream with secure certificates or other elements which could relate to original instsallation.

You've properly installed the DirectAdmin license.

The other issues are:

Did you install a default hostname? If so, then change it through DirectAdmin, and not at the command line, so DA will change everything it needs to change.

Did you install secure a Secure Certificate for DirectAdmin login on port 2222? If so, it will give you a name-mismatch error on all machines except the one with the right hostname. The fix is to reissue and reinstall the Certificate.
