Hi, I would like to know if it's possible to assign an IP on a subdomain like

Shared ip: 1.2.3.4
Domain: abc123.com

Assigned IP: 1.2.3.5
Subdomain: test.abc123.com

thx alot :)

Shouldnt be a problem, just add the subdomain and go into dns management on the user level for the domain and add an A name record.

like in this case:

test A 1.2.3.5

Doing it like that I don't think apache is going to answer to that new ip.

A better way would be to create a new user with the new ip and give it the subdomain as if it were a regular domain.

User floyd is correct; you really have to have the subdomain added as a new domain, under a new user using a separate IP#.
