authomatic retreival of backups from FTP

Hello everyone,
I was serching forums to find a similar question, but didn't find anything.

I would like to setup cron to retreive backups from FTP.

Server1 makes backups daily on a remote FTP. I want to make Server2 to retreive those backups without me loging into DirectAdmin and doing it manually.

Any ideas ?

You could probably setup a cron job using ncftp to download the backups.

Although I'm not exactly sure how to do this, at least it's some start

Keywords "ncftp manual"
and man cron if you don't know how to set that up.

Quick question though, why not just have the server making the backup send it directly to your second server via ftp in the first place? Would be less hassle, and save a little bit of time.
