Automated user-level backups possible?

Do you need the user-level backup automation feature in DirectAdmin?

Hi All,

I'm wondering if I can somehow (cron?) automate the creation of my full weekly backup. I am now backing up weekly from within the web interface. I wish I could set up an automated backup and then once the e-mail is received another script (unrelated to DA) would grab the file through FTP and then delete it off the server and send me an e-mail that everything went fine.

I suppose I could somehow cache the credentials and then automate the access to the global backup link as if I would log in to the web interface but given how nice DA is I think there must be something better available.

Can anybody help?
