Hi all,

I have a problem with my email.
DA doesn't save the email from a user (user level). It automatically purges the email older than .. month (about 1 month give or take).

But I don't have that problem with my own inbox (administrator level)...

What's wrong? Something with my settings maybe?

Kind regards,
Paul

Huh? What webmail client? I dont understand what your talking about email user level and admin level? Theres no way to read email without some sort of mail client.

You've got 3 levels: Administrator, reseller or user. That's what I'm talking about.

I don't see what the email client has to do with it?
I'm not talking about reading the mail... The emails are physically not on the server anymore.

The server purges the email from a user (user level, not reseller or administrator)
The email in all of the user's inboxes of several emailaccounts is not older than 1 month (giver or take)...

I dont get it. There is no email in admin or reseller level. You need to be more specific or provide screenshots.

C'mon, guys, let's use our heads.

First: Neither DirectAdmin nor Dovecot delete mail from DirectAdmin client mailboxes.

@paulvancraen:

The problem may be simply that the user's email client may be set to keep all email on server then delete after one month. That's a common setting. If your users need to keep email on the server then they need to make sure their own email client isn't deleting it.
