Normally we assume the customer knows what they are doing. However 99% of the time this is not the case :-).

The auto responder system should enforce the following:

when adding [email protected] as the autoresponder address, do NOT allow the customer to set [email protected] to be the CC address for this autoresponder. This will kill things in the face.

additionally it shouldn't allow [email protected] where blah.com is an alias for blah.ie in directadmin.

This probably should have been raised many moons ago, but it's one of those things that always slips by till you have a melt down :)

Thanks,

Paul

Users definately have creative ways of doing things sometimes ;)

Here's my creative error message for the check I just added to prevent it
Code:
You're joking right? You want to CC the autoresponder? Please use some other CC value.
Fixed, available next release. We'll call it an easter egg.

Love the message....but my experience with "users" leads me to believe that it will go over the heads of many of them.

tell us where to find the verbage for the error message, I can think of a few things I might add to it, phrases like dim-bulb, etc.

Probably it should say something like: Cannot create CC to autoresponder; it creates an endless loop.
