Dear community,

I create admin backups on daily basis (cronjob). I want to know if the backing up procedure succeeds, so I Email a copy of all messages to my e-mail address. Every day I get e-mails with: "Your backups are now ready" from every server that runs DirectAdmin.

Is it possible, or can I request that it only Emails me when an error occured in a backup? This would keep my mailbox much cleaner :-)

Kind regards, John

But in this case you will not know if cron started and backup has been made or not.

Maybe a way to enable/disable this at your own risk would be nice.

I like this idea as well. Those of us who manage lots of servers would much rather get notified only on error; similarly to the way Linux, BSD and other posix-design systems work; if you don't get output, it worked properly.

Erm... already exits... it was added in 1.21.3.
On the backup creation page, scroll to the bottom of the page for the backup/restore settings.
You can set what email option you'd like.
When disabled, you will still get an email if there is an error.
