I'm trying to move a site from a reseller on one server to a reseller on a different server.

I tried creating a single-user reseller backup on the first machine, copying it over to the second machine, fixing the file ownership, and trying to restore it as the reseller on the second machine.

I got these errors:
Subject: An error occurred during the restore. Today at 22:10

Unable to restore database faultln_faultline.sql to faultln_faultline :
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'faultln'@'localhost' (using
password: NO)
SO I tried backing it up as a user backup on the old machine and restoring it as a user on the new machine.

I got this errors:
Code:
File is not of type tar.gz: /bin/tar: Error in writing to standard output /bin/tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
Any ideas?

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

did you in the end find out what the cause / solution was? I am moving resellers (and afterwards users) from one server to another and get the same errors. Can't install / place the DB, can't find various nameserver .db files...

Thanks for your time!

Harro

I have no idea. I've made almost 13,000 posts on these forums, and I have no recollection of that one or the results.
