Backup .tgz over 2gig fails

One of my sites has a backup that is over 2gig in size. And when using reseller or admin backup the transfer to a remote ftp fails. can this bug be fixed please

2 Gig was a unix/linux file size limitation for many years; it may not be fixable.

Are you ftping to another linux/unix server or a desktop?

EIther may also have the file size limitation.

Be more specific.

I'm trying to backup one of my sites which is 2.13gig

You'll have to try manually and see if you get an error on the backup server at 2 Gig.
