backup to ftp stalls

i am trying to backup to my ftp @ home, but tars larger then around 7.8 mb don't get fully uploaded..they stop @ 7.8-8 mb...

uploading to my ftp with ncftp by hand is working fine:

Hello,

It's probably timing out after 20 seconds. I'll increase the timeout value to 1000 x the timeout in admin settings for the next release. For now, you can just crank up the timeout in Admin Panel -> Admin Settings to a really high value (1200 seconds or something).
