Hi ,

I've restored backup from my server to second server. Everything is ok , users are restored.
Now I have to make backup from second (where backup restored) server but when I open Admin Backup/Transfer , users list is empty.... (only admin and reseller listed) ...
I've checked page "Show all users" and users are listed fine ...

Hi jasne,
Might be at your first recovery, you recovered at the re reseller. Did you have new reseller like admin reseller? did you check your admin backup?

I've restored backup on second server in order:

1. All users
2. One reseller

Now I have in page "Admin Backup/Transfer" listed users are:

1. Admin
2. One reseller

but page "Show All Users" listed users are:

1. admin
2. One reseller
3. All users

I used solution from http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=118
but without result :(

OK I've sloved issue !
my
/usr/local/directadmin/data/users/reseller/users.list - was empty and I've added manualy listy of user. Works :)

I thought we had same as this issue, and we corrected the user owner by ssh, and everything works fine now.

Check your user owner the name is "users.list" on the "/usr/local/directadmin/data/admin" if it's admin is the owner change it to user's username. :)

Cheers.

Another question:
Does restore backup overwrite old files ?
example

backup files (backup.tar.gz) :
1.html
2.html
3.html

server where backup (bck.tar.gz) will restored:

1.html
2.html

----
do above backup overwrite files 1.html , 2.html and add new one (3.html) ?

If you restore the backup in the same path -in admin backup do at the same- of course it dose.

ok . so what about when:

backup files (backup.tar.gz)

1.html
2.html

server where backup (bck.tar.gz) will restored:

1.html
2.html
3.html

----
above backup overwrite files 1.html and 2.html and dosen't delete 3.html ???

That's been correct in my experience but I strongly recommend you test.

Jeff
