Backup user mail

I can't find it, my provider says it can't be done. Time for this forum.

As a reseller, I like to backup mail per user, for all users. I like the backupfile to be stored somewhere on the server. Then I like to fetch it and store it at the office on a local backupsystem. Don't like to fetch the whole site, because it takes to much bandwidth.

Is that possible or should it be a feature request?

Certainly you can create a feature request; I don't know if there'll be enough interest for it to get done.

Or

You could create a cronjob to do the same thing.
