I am trying to create an admin backup to my NAS (Synology 207+). The NAS does not seem to like passive mode, active modes works. However, the backup method only uses passive mode and I get the following error:

Code:
Error during Backup Creation

Details

Could not read reply from control connection -- timed out.
Passive mode refused.
Transfer failed. Check the path value. (error=3)
FTP information invalid.

Is there a method to have FTP use active mode from the backup process?

Ok, I have solved it: it took me a day to figure out the correct forwarding and -most importantly- the fact that the Ziggo/Ubee modem has to rebooted in order to have this working.

Can you share the solution with us? i'm facing the same problem. it works in passive mode once i disable csf. what ports needs to be open in csf? i tried some but with no result.
