Have around 100 accounts on my current server running Centos 7. Not getting any updates as RHEL7 has reached EOL.
This is a LXC container so can't do an in-place upgrade to AlmaLinux 8.
I want to spin up a different container (Almalinux 8) and move all accounts to it.
I can shutdown the current server, and transfer the IPs to the new one.
With the current server shutdown, I can also access the files on it from the host machine since it's a container.
Besides the normal method of backing up and restoring it on the new server, is there a shortcut or easier method?
I can do with few hours of downtime.
