bringing back FrontPage ext

Hi All,

Yes,. I know.. it is obselete.
Yes,. I've read the threads of it done and out in June 2006.

I have a client we migrated to custombuild with apache 2.x and it worked great till he realized that 'oops,. we have few clients who insist on using FP Ext'.

So we rolled-back to customapache and reinstalled apache 1.3.41 and PHP to make it work.

apache and php work fine.

However, FrontPage Ext is not working properly.

First, I had to enable the DA link in directadmin.conf from 0 to 1.
So now I have the link.
However, when accesing the FrontPage Administrator, I get Error 500 Internal Server Error.
Any pointers on how to resolve this?

I appreciate any help on this.

So now how do I go about fixing the 'premature' and also the Incorrect permissions on webroot?

[RESOLVED]

I ran few time the
./build mod_frontpage #dso depreciated
./build frontpage_ext
and had some issues with apache configuartions and it didn't work.

finally,. I found something:

In http://www.forum.psoft.net/showthread.php?t=28228 someone said that I should see frontPage in the ps fax:

That triggered me to try to do a rebuild of apache again, and indeed in the very end of the build I saw the lines:

Notice the bold print as it shows explicitly the FrontPage portion.
Oh.. and very important,. after that last build, you must re-build PHP, otherwise you will see apache running with blank PHP pages.
