Hello!
I have found bug.

What's need:
1)Create new user (example: user1) with domains tester.ru
2)Add Domains Pointer (example: tesing.ru )for domain tester.ru
3)remember which DNS have domains tester.ru (/CMD_DNS_ADMIN?domain=tester.ru) and testing.ru (/CMD_DNS_ADMIN?domain=testing.ru)
Next:
4)Change DNS for user1 (in user configuration /CMD_MODIFY_USER?user=user1)
and click save.

And what we see?
Domains tester.ru have successfully changed DNS, but his pointer testing.ru is NOT change dns.

Dear directadmin support, please check this bug (i have test it on 2 servers).
Configuration:
Apache 2.0.63 Server
DirectAdmin 1.33.4
Exim 4.67
MySQL 5.0.77
Named 9.3.4
ProFTPd 1.3.2
dovecot 1.1.13

I'm of two minds on this:

Yes, if you set up a pointer you'd expect all DNS entries to follow.

No, though you set up a pointer, you really want to make some of the settings different.

So I'm not sure I'd want to do it.

I'd love to see some comments from others.

I encountered this tonight also.

My feeling is that if you're changing the master, to which the pointer is assigned, all should change.

Just my 2cents.

If you got a 'head' domain a.com and you add b.com as domain pointer then you should have on both domains same content.
You can manage the DNS of the domain pointer @ the domain pointer page.

NOTE: If you add of change DNS (like add domain (pointer)) it can take up 24-48 hours before the DNS has been changed world-wide.

Also I'm personally don't have any problems with domain pointers.

I just tried this with version 1.33.6 and when I changed the ip of the user the ip of the pointer changed too along with all his domains.

But if you change the ip using DNS Administration then of course only that one domain is going to change.

Maybe I missed the point.
