BUG: Duplicate entries and hostname entries in /etc/virtual/domains

Why is my hostname listed 3 times in /etc/virtual/domains? My hostname is not a domain name and was never created as a domain on the server. Not only is it listed, but its listed in this file 4 times. 3 times one after the other at the top of the file

HOSTNAME
HOSTNAME
HOSTNAME

And once at the end of the file

HOSTNAME
EOF

Why?
