bug in DA? alias for domain with external mailserver

I've noticed something strange from within DA.

I've got 1 domain setup: domain1
in the mx settings I've cleared the checkmark "Use this server to handle my emails." so that the mail will be sent to their own mailserver.

I've added an alias/pointer for domain2 to domain 1

DNS settings are correctly transferred so that's ok.

but the domain2 mail WILL be handled by exim and not the client. I had to manually edit the /etc/virtual/domains file to clear the entry for domain2.

Is this a bug? did I do something wrong configuring?

Hello,

There is no functionality to shut off the alias from being local to exim from within DA. Only standard full domains have that ability.

The issue is related to http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=8, but you are correct, all it does is remove the domain from /etc/virtual/domains.

That sucks.

Will I have to keep to manually change the domains file after modifying the domain1 configuration? or does exim remember my change until I manually change it back?

Otherwise I must remove 80 aliasses and and 80 new domains to that client and remove the checkmark :'(

Hello,

No, DA won't keep adding it. Once it's out of the domains file, it's gone until you add it back.
