[BUG] Login as only works in IE

Hello,

We have all our systems with CentOS 5.x x86/x86_64 installed and since the latest DirectAdmin version we have a problem.

First we had a strange problem about this: http://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=1195 (that's solved)

Also on the same time since that version (1.38) we have the follow problem;

1) Login with Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox/Palemoon as admin/reseller
2) Go to "show all users"
3) Click on a user
4) Click 'login as'

If we do that with Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox/Palemoon we see 1 second the 'user' page, then it redirects back to the user information page (packet specifications).

Only with Internet Explorer it works without any problems.


Does anybody else has this too? We are not sure if this is only effecting DA+CentOS, so maybe someone else can test it too with other operation systems?

Works for me as follows:

Local OS: kubuntu linux
DirectAdmin OS: CentOS
DirectAdmin Version: 1.38
While logged in as: admin
Browsers:
. Mozilla Firefox 3.6.16
. Konqueror 4.4.5
. Chromium 10.0.648.205

Perhaps someone using Windows on their desktop/laptop can try as well.

I don't think this is a CentOS issue; I've moved the thread.

What I found (totally different issue)

1. Log in as admin;
2. then log in as a reseller;
3. then log in as a user

then you'll get pushed to the log in page. Or is that just me?
 
Here the problem seems to not appear.

OS. CentOS 5.6 Final
DA 1.38.3

But im using Capri Skin and not the default one.

Should be a skin related problem?

@Peter Laws @zEitEr That problem we have since the beginning of DA. We always click directly to the user and then 'login as' instead of reseller and then user. But we see 1 sec the user page and then get back to the page with the 'login as' button.

@SeLLeRoNe With which OS on the 'desktop' did you tested it and which browser? We have this issue at Windows desktop with Google Chrome and Firefox/Palemoon. Works only for us @ IE

Monday I will do some tests, if I found the problem I'll write it here

With Windows Vista/Windows 2000 and FireFox/Opera (both the latest) I can not confirm the issue, described in your starting post.
 
Note that DirectAdmin only logs in two levels deep without additional password.

So admin can log in with password and then as either any reseller or any user without password.

And reseller can log in with password and then as user without password.

But if admin logs in as reseller without password, then reseller cannot log in as user.

I found that the problem exists with 'enhanced' skin, if I choose the 'MacEnhanced' skin for the user then I can use the 'Login as' without any problems.
 
Are you starting as admin, then logging in as reseller, and then as user?

Or are you starting as reseller, then logging in as user?

No, I know this case doesn't work, thats since i'm using DA.

Yes, I can login without any problems as reseller, but when I'm trying as reseller to login to a user, i'm getting redirected back (I see 1 sec a 'flash' of the user panel)
