[BUG] Roundcube SMTP Authentication Failed – Possible Port 25 Issue in Alpha Version

Hi everyone,
I’m currently testing the alpha version of DirectAdmin and I’ve encountered a bug with Roundcube.
When I try to access the webmail, I get the following error:
SMTP Error: Authentication failed.

I suspect this could be related to port 25 being closed, but I’m not entirely sure.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Could the DirectAdmin team take a look and possibly provide a fix?

Hello,

You might enable SMTP debug and see what is wrong in details. If you want a DA team to check it, you will need to open a ticket with them and provide login details to your server.

Unfortunately, I only have access to the DirectAdmin panel – I don’t have root or SSH access to the server or its passwords.
Let me know if there’s anything I can check or modify directly from the panel.

Are you a reseller with DirectAdmin account? Or you using a shared-hostig account with Directadmin?

If you;re a server owner without root access, do you have admin account in DirectAdmin at all?

I have a dedicated server, but I don’t have root access — my colleagues do.
Anyway, the issue seems to have disappeared today, and everything is working again from webmail.
