Bus error (DA cannot start)

Am facing an issue where DA can't start and reports

Starting DirectAdmin: /bin/bash: line 1:  9829 Bus error               /usr/local/directadmin/directadmin d
                                                           [FAILED]

Nothing extraordinary recorded in error.log

2009:02:24-11:02:44: Socket write error: Unknown error

2009:02:24-11:31:49: Socket write error: Unknown error

Apache, MySQL, Exim all run fine.

Judging from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bus_error Looks like I might have to do a re-install.

Other than httpd.conf, mysql.conf and proftpd.conf, anything else I have to take note off?

Not sure I would email directadmin directly.

Just did a SHA1SUM and compared directadmin binary with a working machine. Both were identical. This is not looking good.

Can this possibly be due to faulty RAM?

Are you sure you're using the version of DirectAdmin for your OS Distribution and version? You should probably contact DirectAdmin Support for help.
