Hi!

Something is forcing a redirect from my domain ludenkapel.nl to the HTTPS version, however there is no certificate so I get the expected warning with the self signed certificate. Forced SSL redirect is not enabled in directadmin and also in my Wordpress settings on the website no direct to the https version is set. This is a different problem altogether, but I figured why not get a certificate then.

I try to get a LetsEncrypt certificate but I get the error "CAA record prevents issuing the certificate: SERVFAIL". I'm not sure why I get this error at all because I checked and there are no CAA records on the domain. There also do not seem to be any DA records, which I saw people refer to when asking about this error.

Anyone know what the problem might be?

I had the same issues and I restarted the directadmin service and also the named service, still no resolution.
I restarted the httpd service and bingo the error went away and I was able to make the Lets encrypt SSL request successfully.
This has happened on three separate occasions and the restart of the httpd service resolved that error. I am unable to explain why but it worked
