Hello All,

I have a strange problem. I have installed cacti, no trouble at all. But at the last point i want to create a alias. So we edit the httpd.conf and add:

Alias /cacti /home/cactiuser/cacti

<Directory /home/cactiuser/cacti>
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks Includes MultiViews
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
</Directory>

If we go now to http://ipaddress/cacti we see the following:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /cacti on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

For everyone who would take a look at the httpd.conf:

#
# This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the
# configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
# See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2> for detailed information.
# In particular, see
# <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/directives.html>
# for a discussion of each configuration directive.
#
# Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
# what they do. They're here only as hints or reminders. If you are unsure
# consult the online docs. You have been warned.

I hope someone recognize this problem and can help me.

What do you think? I have restart the httpd and the mysqld after the installation.

Problem is solved already. There was no .htaccess file in /home/cactiuser so i made it and give it a chmod 755. That's it.
