Can DA connect to remote SQL Server?

Hi,
i want to separate the SQL serer from my main server to another server.
will DA can handle it remotely? (create / remove DB users, etc..)
if yes, will it have to be MySQL or can i use another SQL Server?

will DA still monitor the local MySQL server or it will monitor the remote one?

hi, i add host=db.server.com to mysql.conf file, and directadmin still monitor the local mysql server.
is it possible to monitor the remote mysql server, or disable the monitor?

Yes, you can turn off the monitor. I don't remember offhand the name of the file you need to change but you can certainly search these forums; it's been discussed previously. I just noted you have another thread, Ability to remove/add services to system information in which you may have named the proper file to change.
