Can i install a software that require tomcat when running DirectAdmin on my VPS?

Hello,
Can i install a software that requires tomcat when running DirectAdmin on my VPS? Because i have a software i would like to install on my VPS and also still use the same VPS to create and run other websites using DirectAdmin as the control panel.

Tomcat by default use port 8080, none of the service provided by DA use that port (unless you use nginx+apache, in that case you need to change the templates to let apache use something different than 8080 and nginx to point to the right one), so you can safely install tomcat and use it, just ensure you open related port on firewall

But now, if i have a VPS and i would like to partly install on a software that requires tomcat and the same time use the vps to run other websites on it because i do not have that much to buy two vps. What options do i have to run both a software that requires tomcat and also to run other websites on one vps?

I'm sorry, but i already replied to the question, you can do that as long as you're not using nginx_apache, but just nginx or apache.. or unless you use nginx_apache changing the template in order to dont let apache use port 8080.

If you're using apache or nginx in stand-alone mode, you can install tomcat without problem in the way you prefer.

Than, if you don't know how do to that, me and other member of the forum offer those kind of services as paid services, so feel free to look online for how to install tomcat or PM someone for a quote.
