Can kiss(iptable) work with Fedora Core 2 ?

Can kiss work with Fedora Core 2 ?

I have installed kiss in Fedora Core 2 system

When i type [ kiss restart ]
it show [
Since the ip_tables, ipt_state, and/or ipt_multiport modules do not exist, KISS can not function. Firewall script aborted! ]

BUt it can work very well in Fedora Core 1 .

Does any one has any idea on it ?

I have used kiss + Directadmin in Fedora Core 1 system very well . ....... So that i still don't know why i can't use Kiss in Fodera Core2

It appears that the Fedora Core 2 kernel you're using doesn't have support for iptables.

Jeff, are you sure ?

I had the same problem. Seems that all the files the KISS script wants to use have a different extension in Core 2.

Change all the .o occurences in the script to .ko and restart it. It worked for me :)

I recommend using APF though. A very strong feature from APF is that it resets itself after 5 minutes (in 'test-mode'). You can't lock yourself out of your system in that case.

I made my reply from reading the error message.

I defer to your deeper wisdom.
