can not login DA after update

Yesterday I installed the DA update and now no admin, reseller or user can login through the webinterface. All services ar running and everything is still functioning but I just can not get into the control panel.

When I try to login, it just refreshes the pages and stays on the login screen.

What could be wrong and better yet, what is the solution? :(

Which log file do you mean?

In the directadmin 2012-feb-09.log are the last entries;

09/02/2012:20:10:09 84.24.58.117 POST /CMD_LOGIN HTTP/1.1 rbosboom
09/02/2012:20:10:09 84.24.58.117 GET / HTTP/1.1 rbosboom
 
2012:02:09-22:20:39: Authentication::User Dir: Stat Error: : No such file or directory
 
Problem fixed. DA couldn't find the license file. I even wasn't able to open port 2222 or through SSL.

After I tried your routine and it still didn't work, I searched some more and saw in the logfile DA wasn't able to read the license file. Afther this I followed the help http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=30

At first my problem was solved on one webserver. Now I have the same problem on the other one.
When I follow the mentioned guid, I get a "Authentication::User Dir: Stat Error: : Success" - "not on the list: username" Where "username" is my username.

I update my license file which solved the problem on the other server. On this one it didn't work.
 
How strange it may sound, changing SSL=0 to SSL=1 did the trick.
I changed SSL, logged in and out, changed SSL back again and voila, problem fixed.

Anybody an idea what caused this problem? I know I don't..!
