I made a mistake that i resized and modified the /tmp directory. Can i have it back from original ? if so, how do i do it ? I'm using CentOs 5 64bit. Thanks first.

note. i dont really want to reload the OS.

You don't resize directories. You resize partitions. Was /tmp in it's own partition?

How did you resize it? Whatever tool you used to resize it may work, but if you made it smaller and now want to make it bigger, depending on how you did it, there may not be any available space for it to fill.

Manipulating partitons on a running linux server has always been seen as something to only in rare circumstances.
