Hello there,
I have a problem similar to this post
http://www.directadmin.com/forum/showpost.php?p=154109&postcount=26
The way it happened (though it might not be what made it happens) was :
Now I have those behaviors
In all cases, from the beginning to the end, packages were created (then deleted and recreated with same then other names)
I also try to delete all accounts, DNS, etc., via DA - put it in its initial visual state. It does nothing.
Now I have this :
I removed everything then restart DA via "Admin Tools > Service Monitor > Reboot" and it did the trick.
>> Forgot to tell : after that, creation, deletion and re-creation of users work fine, even for "mata".
Seems it has something to do with the "first" user created + deleting it not alone ... I do not know.
Hope it will helps.
If you have any ideas on what's going on, I am interested.
Have fun,

The way it happened (though it might not be what made it happens) was :
- I created two user (1st "mata", 2d "lolo") with the admin account at reseller level
- I deleted those two user simultaneously (check both boxes then click "delete"
Now I have those behaviors
- When I add anew the user "mata" (as a reseller user, or as a "simple" user - via the admin account or via an other reseller account), result is "Cannot Create Account. Details : That username already exists on the system"
- When I add anew the user "lolo", as reseller or user, it works fine.
In all cases, from the beginning to the end, packages were created (then deleted and recreated with same then other names)
I also try to delete all accounts, DNS, etc., via DA - put it in its initial visual state. It does nothing.
Now I have this :
Code:
# /usr/bin/updatedb
# locate mata
/home/mata
/usr/local/directadmin/data/users/mata
/var/spool/mail/mata
/var/run/sudo/mata
I removed everything then restart DA via "Admin Tools > Service Monitor > Reboot" and it did the trick.
