i HAVE added additional IP for the user
BUT,
when i login on user level and click "ssl certificates" i get:
Code:
Cannot Execute Your Request
You can only add a certificate if you own the ip you are using

Info for Admins: Assigning an owned IP
If i go "modify user" i see the new IP, the type is => Additional
Any idea?

you need to assign the ip to user at reseller level, that ip cannot be shared.

Regards
i did...
if i login as reseller... and go to ipmanagment
i see this new ip owned by "the user"
... i HAVE read the how to guides.... and becouse someting is not right...
im asking what can i do?

try leave just one ip to the user (remove the shared one) and try again.

Regards
don't know what excatly you mean?
i got to reseller acount and edited this user...
i have "main" ip that i cannot remove...
and i have this "new" ip that is "additional"
if i log to user
and click on ssl certificates... i got the same error

Never tryed multi ip, but i think you can set the owned one as default and than remove the shared one from user, isnt that way?

or can i use ipX2 ?
You know what i mean?:D
i have added cert to ipX2... how long do i have to wait ???
It say... i the cert will be active in coupple of minutes :P

actually i dont know about that, never used ssl at all, so maybe is just the time of apache restart, but im not sure.

so, setting owned ip as main solved the ssl issue?

Maybe you can check the ssl connecting to the https of the domain.

Regards

i have tryed connection go ssl on the domain of the user...
but i get error cert... is still the "free" self signet crt :p

Try to edit your host file for check directly without wait dns propagation

SeLLeRoNe thanks for "help" but i need someone who KNOWS ssl :)
I think i have some issues installing the cert...
If i go under ssl in DA in don't se my "installed" cert

Is there a "how to" guide for install a new certificate i bought from some company?
i really don't have any idea what is
- request, key, cert ..... :s

You're mostly on your own to learn basic things about SSL, as nobody will probably able to teach you here. So either read this site or Google for more details. Of course if you need a commerce service, you might want to hire somebody who has experience with SSL certs (Jeff for example, or me).

Actually i think that install an SSL cert is not that hard, following the guide should be easy.

Im not expert on using, but im sure i can install an ssl cert if needed (for me or someone else) without much pain.

Regards

I, too, believe that it should be easy to install an SSL Certificate, using the link user zEitEr posts above, which is an official DirectAdmin site. However things can go wrong.

Here are some questions for you:

Did you install the Certificate from the DirectAdmin control panel?

Have you checked at the top of the page to make sure SSL is enabled, and that you're not set to use the server shared Certificate?

Is the site for which you're setting upSSL at the user level of the main admin login, or is it under a reseller?

What brand of Certificate are you using?

I won't know what went wrong until/unless I get access to your server; I'll certainly need admin, and I might need root access. Because starting from scratch is easier than trying to figure out what's gone wrong, if you're trying to install a domain-verified Certificate it would probably cost less to purchase a new Certificate from me than to have me fix your install; for more information please email me at the email address below in my siglines.

I can definitely fix it for you, and afterwards let you know what was wrong and what I've done.

I have managed to install cert
and its working fine in firefox and chrome...
BUT InternetExprorer, shows me error
"to help protest your security, IE has blocked this website........
security cert error"
Can anyone help me on this?
Have emailed DA support.. but... their respoinse time is... not good :)

This is not a DirectAdmin problem (if you install correctly, this works for so many people that it's unlikely that it could be a bug in DirectAdmin.

We're all ready to help you here if we can, but since you haven't given us the fully qualified domain name of the site on which you're trying to install the Certificate, even those of us who know how to test, can't, because we don't know what site to test.

Or if for some reason you don't want to tell us, you can always look up the error on microsoft.com.

Here's a guess, but only a guess, and I won't go further with guessing, only with testing:

IE doesn't have the root certificate or bundle certificate installed and the other browsers do.
