Cannot receive emails after Spam Assassin install

FreeBSD 4.10
DA 1.23.1

1-1/2 weeks old DA server

emails working fine until spam assassin installed as per http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=36

all domains on server unable to receive emails
senders get Reason: 5.7.1 <[email protected]>... Relaying denied

no related entries in the exim_rejectlog

kill spamd and comment off Spam Assassin in exim.conf and restart exim does not help

restart spamd and exim does not help

Have another DA server-week old, without Spam Assassin, does not have this problem.


Any suggestions?
 
Check to see if you've somehow broken the popb4smtp.

Make sure all your domains are listed in /etc/virtual/domains.

If both of those are good get a new copy of exim.conf.

Both check and do not see anything strange.

The problem was solved by rebooting the server, strange to me but it worked.
 
so in the end you disabled spamd is it?

i'm having problems to recieve email also..
